Refund Policy — Swift Driving Academy
This refund policy covers all services offered by Swift Driving Academy, a sole proprietorship in Vancouver, BC. It does not affect your statutory rights.
24‑Hour Notice
Cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid fees.
$40 Late Change Fee
Changes made under 24 hours are subject to a CA$40 fee.
180‑Day Validity
Unused individual lessons are valid and refundable within 180 days.
1. Purchases & Validity
- Packages (Class 5/7 automatic): All packages must be completed and scheduled within 12 months from the date of purchase. After this period, any pending or unscheduled appointments expire and no refund will be issued.
- Individual Lessons: Must be scheduled and completed within 180 days of purchase. Unused individual lessons may be refunded within the same 180‑day period (see Refunds below).
- ICBC fees: Government/ICBC fees are separate from our services and are not included or refundable through Swift Driving Academy.
2. Refunds
Package Refunds
- You may request a refund after your first lesson if you choose not to continue.
- Completed lessons are charged at the current individual lesson rate. The remaining package balance is refunded.
- No processing fee is charged on package refunds.
Individual Lesson Refunds
- Unused individual lessons are refundable within 180 days of purchase.
- Used or partially used individual lessons are not refundable.
- Refunds are returned to the original payment method (see Processing).
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
- 24‑hour notice required: Cancel or reschedule lessons at least 24 hours before the appointment time to avoid fees.
- Under 24 hours: A CA$40 late change fee applies.
- No‑show / late arrival / missing licence: If you do not attend, arrive too late to start safely, or cannot present a valid, original driver’s licence, the full lesson fee is charged.
- Safety & weather: If we cancel for safety, severe weather, or vehicle issues, we will reschedule at no cost or issue a refund for the affected booking.
4. Road Test Day
- Packages include a pre‑test warm‑up and use of our dual‑control car for the ICBC road test.
- ICBC scheduling, fees, and test centre rules are set by ICBC and are outside our control.
- If ICBC cancels or delays your test, we will reschedule your warm‑up/test‑day support at no additional charge.
5. Refund Processing
- Approved refunds are processed within up to 5 business days.
- Refunds are made to the original payment method unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Non‑refundable: ICBC/government fees, expired services, and lessons charged under the no‑show/late notice terms above.
